Converse have united Freddie Gibbs and Hanni El Khatib for “Satin Black,” a song set to be included on their forthcoming CONS compilation, CONS EP Vol. 3. The song’s concept is simple, but it’s one that works very well. “Satin Black” is just no-frills, aggressive gangsta-rap over blistering, barebones, from-the-gut rock. If you like music like BlakRoc, you’ll go crazy for this. Converse have also put out a statement anointing this as the first single in support of their upcoming compilation project, but that three more tracks are on the way and will see release throughout spring of this year.
