Longtime Converse skateboarder Kenny Anderson has been a staple in the development of CONS since its inception. The Chocolate team rider and Las Vegas native has been rewarded with a new signature shoe – the KA3. Where his first two sneakers were more technical affairs, CONS and Anderson aimed to create a silhouette that honors the history of CONS’ casual design language while also offering wearers a versatile option on and off the board.
As a result, the launch-edition KA3 features a slim silhouette with a leather upper for resistance and formality, embedded with a re-articulated Lunarlon insert for protection. The sole draws on Converse classics such as the Star Player, subtly hinting at the brand history. Of particular note, the KA3 will also release in a slew of forthcoming ‘rubberized canvas’ options, which imbue rubber into the lightweight material – resulting in a huge durability spike. Enjoy a look at the sneaker above, which is arriving in skate shops such as Premier and online now, while an accompanying video by Richard Quintero can be found below.
