The rumors were true. In his cover story for Complex, Big Sean admits that his recent hit, “I Don’t F— With You,” deals about his ex-girlfriend Naya Rivera. The song, which finds the Detroit native teaming up on the mic with E-40 over a production from both DJ Mustard and Kanye West, features a dismissive hook: “I don’t f— with you/ You lil’ stupid *ss b*tch, I ain’t f—in’ with you.” Sean reveals that his final verse celebrates his escape from a past relationship, and points out that his breakup with Rivera inspired these lyrics, especially the line, “And every day I wake up celebrating shit, why? / Cause I just dodged a bullet from a crazy bitch.” However, he also claims that the track “did not come from a bitter place at all.” All’s well that ends well, supposedly.
