Russell Simmons & Rick Rubin Continue Their Series on Def Jam's Beginnings

Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons sit down for a comprehensive interview to discuss Def Jam records and its origins in a new four-part edition of Back and Forth conducted by Noisey. The video series’ introductory volumne finds Simmons and Rubin side-by-side, speaking briefly on hip-hop’s beginnings, the early development and dynamics of their relationship, and some of the history behind the music they first started working on.
