Concepts x Brooks 2014 Fall Chariot "Merlot"

Boston-based retailer Concepts continues its strong run of collaborations – and contention for ‘best colorways from the East’ this year – teaming up with revered running brand Brooks for a new project. The two brands considered the Chariot, a shoe fresh out of Brooks’ entrant collection of retro silhouettes, executing it in a gradient colorway dubbed “Merlot.” The shoe idea stems from Brooks’ home state of Washington, home to one of the largest assortment of Merlot wine grapes in the U.S. As with the wine itself, this rendition of Chariot transitions from a rich burgundy color to a deep purple across the supple suede body. The shoe is detailed with speckled blue laces, a co-branded insole, and finished off with a clean white outsole. The Concepts x Brooks Chariot “Merlot” will be ripe for picking in-store and online via Concepts beginning September 13.
