Now in its fifth season, art collective/clothing label Études returns with its “True Real” collection for Fall/Winter 2014. This time around, designers Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Egry were inspired by “modern tribes” — including rappers and heavy metal fans — and created a stylish, street-ready lineup that’s equal parts artful and bold. Standouts from the collection include pieces like the striking Etoile Crew V Sweatshirt and colorblocked Poesie PW Marble Shirt — both of which feature custom graphic prints by Canadian photographer, Jessica Eaton — the star motif Etoile Europe Crew Sweatshirt and a handful of caps and graphic tees. Balancing the range, meanwhile, are monochromatic designs like the Sphere Carbon Hoodie and the relaxed Giga Carbon Pants, resulting in a versatile mix of colors, patterns and styles.
