Soft-spoken Minnesota favorite Spooky Black presents a new music video on the coattails of his recent Leaving EP earlier this week, presenting visuals for the album’s concluding track. The song itself – “DJ Khaled Is My Father” – is emblematic of Spook’s sonic tendencies: somber, droned, bare, littered with sparse guitar strokes and withering synth notes. Directors Gabe Broderick and Harry Sutherland appropriately frame the song in home movie-style filming, taking to a woodsy setting to highlight the artist’s sensitive crooning. Enjoy the video above, and head over to HYPETRAK to take in Leaving in full.
