ScHoolboy Q - Studio (Grandtheft Edit)

Here’s a remix that shall not be missed for your upcoming weekend playlist. Grandtheft has turned in his edition of ScHoolboy Q‘s Oxymoron single “Studio.” The Mad Decent representative transforms Swiff D’s original composition into a bass-heavy party anthem. Or to put it in Grandtheft’s own words:

“My studio is on the east side of downtown Toronto and I live closer to the west side. For some reason, every time I would leave a long studio session and get in my car to drive home, ‘Studio’ would be on satellite radio. So many times in a row, it was uncanny. I wasn’t playing it in my sets but it grew on me and I needed a version that would go with my tunes ‘Flying,’ ‘Heavy Hitterz,’ ‘My House,’ and my Sub Focus remix…Dark and vibey club music. I played ['Studio'] for the whole Australia/New Zealand tour, put it in my Triple J exclusive mix…Now lots of DJ friends and fans have asked for it. As I am finishing some new originals, I am happy to release this one!”
