London producer Redinho has crafted a piece of sonic gold tailor-made for summer jam sessions, outdoor barbecue get-togethers, coastal cruising and welcome-home gatherings for two-strike felons in California with his new slice of shimmery funk, “Get You Off My Mind.” Alongside vocalist Brendan Reilly, Redinho’s new single recalls the glory days of funk, R&B and pop, harkening back to a time when Prince was still considered somewhat human and the word “freestyle” didn’t conjure up images of battle rappers and one-off mixtape cuts. “Get You Off My Mind” will be featured on Redinho’s upcoming full-length debut LP, coming out September 23 on Numbers.
