Jay Z Calls for "More Schools, Less Prisons"

While onstage in California, Jay Z called for “more schools, less prisons.” This all went down during Jay and Beyonce’s second ‘On The Run’ show at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl venue. Jay apparently made it known that he fully supports Prop 47 (a California ballot that takes place in November that recommends changing sentencing for low-level non-violent crimes and allotting money saved back into education, victim services, mental health treatment). Global Grind reported that as “Hard Knock Life” started, Jay Z stated:

“Prop 47! California! Build more schools, less prisons. More schools, less prisons. They will never be able to stop us.”
