One of the more influential names in the modern history of horology, Jean-Claude Biver’s leadership of various watchmakers during his career is often credited as the driving force that saved the industry from quartz movements. His career started at Audemars Piguet, then Omega, where he learned of and later purchased the subsidiary brand Blancpain. After bringing this Swiss watchmaker back from obscurity, Biver later helped rejuvenate the Hublot brand as well. Now the current director of timepieces at LVMH, the Luxembourg native oversees Hublot, Zenith and industry giant TAG Heuer.
