Chaz French featuring Goldlink - LMGLML

The DMV comes together on up-and-coming rappers Chaz French and Goldlink‘s latest collaborative effort, “LMGLML.” Premiered by Complex this morning, the Kris Minor-produced track serves as the third cut to be released from Chaz French’s forthcoming debut mixtape, Happy Belated. Both French and Goldlink represent some of the strongest talents bubbling out of the DMV right now, and together on “LMGLML” they showcase bars that transcend regional hashtag-hits and flash-in-the-pan singles. Both lyricists are somber and moody on “LMGLML” as Kris Minor’s bleak backdrop leads them along. It almost sounds like both artists could be on the verge of a breakdown on “LMGLML,” but neither allows the calculation of their verses to slip away in the slightest. This is technically-sound rap that’s aware of its creators’ demons without letting their verses trail off into stream-of-consciousness rambling. You can listen to “LMGLML” above.
