Not only is Beyonce scheduled to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, but Bey is also set to receive a Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award from the program. So, not only is she nominated for the most awards but will also receive the VMA equivalent of a “lifetime achievement” honor. Upon receiving the award, Beyonce will join a list of recipients that includes the likes of Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson. Looks like Kanye’s notorious speech about Beyonce’s video wasn’t in vein after all. For those wanting to tune in, the VMAs will air on August 24.
