Mo’ Betta Wu was a a live show that combined the sound of Jazz with Wu-Tang classics such as “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Rainy Days” for eclectic, jazzy renditions. Now, the Kris Bowers and Amanda Seales project will be back for an encore performance tonight. The official statement is as follows:
On April 10th we debuted #MoBettaWu in front of a sold out crowd at Le Poisson Rouge in Soho to rave reviews from COMPLEX, VIBE, BET, JAY Z’s Life+Times, Mass Appeal, Hip-Hop Wired, The Examiner, Giant Step, Frank 151 andAllHipHop. With co-signs from WU-General’s RZA and Power, we’re gearing up for our second run this FRIDAY, June13th at THE CUTTING ROOM. I’m hoping you can join us again or for the 1st time to witness this special evening.
Describing the show, Complex said it’s “36 Chambers like you’ve never heard it before,” and BET spoke of the event as being like “Ella Fitzgerald singing C.R.E.A.M. at the peak of the Harlem Renaissance.” If you’re in the NYC area, make sure to stop by The Cutting Room for this unique experience.
