Headed by Frida Giannini, Gucci recently unveiled its 2015 spring/summer menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week. With the modern gentleman firmly in mind, the collection showed the label’s modern approach to classic tailoring, drawing heavily from nautical uniforms in its efforts. Nautical stripes took on the cuffs of collarless shirts, pinstripe jackets and dress pants. The use of orange and grey on coats and suits were a subtle nod to the various rankings within the navy — an inspiration that was reinforced with emblems on the chests of blazers. The sharp silhouettes were complemented by a luxurious luggage range, and rounded out by a wide selection of footwear to complete each look.
