Now under the helm of new Creative Director Alexander Wang, Balenciaga took to Paris this week to unveil its 2015 spring/summer ready-to-wear men’s collection. Similar to its women’s offerings, this collection features modern takes on the French house’s early pieces with subtle ingenuities concealed by its bold, often elongated silhouettes and precise tailoring. Highlights within this neutral-colored range includes a waist-high leather pea coat, a suede henley with snap buttons, several waterproof mackintoshes, shorts made with a thin lambskin material, taped seams, double-knit cotton tops with grosgrain trim, jackets with laser-cut gussets, and much more. Already said to have hushed many of his early naysayers, what are your thoughts about Wang’s take on the Balenciaga legacy thus far?
