APL Debuts its New Running Footwear Collection

APL, best known for its vertical-improving basketball shoes, has now entered the running category with the release of its first performance running footwear collection. For its first foray into running, the brand has created three new silhouettes: the Joyride, Techloom Pro and Windchill.

First up is the Joyride, which utilizes APL’s proprietary new Propelium midsole technology for maximum energy return. The shoe features a lightweight mesh upper with TPU webbing for added support around the midfoot and heel, flex grooves in the sole for more natural movement, and is available in black or green. Next up is the Techloom Pro, which sports the same Propelium midsole as the Joyride, but switches things up with a single layer woven upper. This woven upper includes strategically placed areas of added support while maintaining the lightweight upper’s breathability and flexibility. Finally, there is the Windchill, which incorporates a modified version of APL’s signature Load ‘N Launch technology and an airy FloZone upper for breathability. The Windchill also features an internal TPU cage to lockdown the foot during runs.
