Both Cam’ron and A-Trak have been formative to the modern music, but relative to their past prolificacy, they’ve each been relatively hushed as of late. Neither artist is any particular slouch though, and certainly their forthcoming collaboration – Federal Reserve – is the source of said quietness. A sudden boom comes in the form of “Dipsh*ts,” the latest single to drop from the upcoming album, and the video of which was just premiered by Complex. The song sounds nothing like early 2000s; both artists look, and more importantly, sound refreshing – Cam’ron looks at home amongst his old friends in Dipset, while A-Trak experiments with thumping, heroic production motifs. An epic statement for hip-hop in many ways, enjoy “Dipsh*ts” above.
