For this installment of Pen & Paper, we sat down with several artists from the recent Converse Clash Wall project in Amsterdam to bring you something special. Rutger Termohlen, Onno Poiesz and TelmoMiel met at Karski’s studio just north of the city to lend their talents to create a multi-artist version for our popular series. For Clash Wall Amsterdam they united to transform the interior of a traditional Dutch canal house – the first indoor Clash Wall – into a one-of-a-kind collaboration, where their individual creations came together as a cohesive body of work, flowing seamlessly throughout the building. With that same mindset, these five friends sat down with us to produce a unique Pen & Paper version of the HYPEBEAST wordmark that not only showcased their talents, but also demonstrated their ability to compliment one another whilst staying true to their respective styles. An epic clash on one piece of paper! The six-hour session was filled with laughter, stories, shared ideas, and a great sense of mutual respect and admiration. And when all was said and done, the one question on everyone’s mind was “who gets to take that home?”
