Fox has announced that The Simpsons will be an airing an episode this season shot entirely using CGI LEGO models. According to Matt Selman, executive producer of the show, this has been in the works since at least 2012 but the impending release is a timely one given the release of The LEGO Movie and the recent Simpsons LEGO set.
