A highlight from his Nothing Was The Same project, Drake‘s collaborative track with Jay Z, “Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2,” has been slapped with a lawsuit for its introductory sample. Taken from the 1982 track “Jimmy Smith Rap” by jazz artist Jimmy Smith, Smith’s estate claims that Drake did not have the rights to use the sample and argues that they were never even asked.
