Support Portugal. The Man's #EndangeredSong For the Sumatran Tiger
In honor of today’s Earth Day, Portugal. The Man recorded an “Endangered Song” to raise awareness
In honor of today’s Earth Day, Portugal. The Man recorded an “Endangered Song” to raise awareness of an endangered species, the Sumatran Tiger. There are only 400 Sumatran tigers left in the world because most of their habitat has been eaten up by oil-palm plantations in just two years. The band teamed up with the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and the Conservation Biology Institute to create a record that will go extinct unless it’s reproduced. The record is one of only 400 copies in existence and will degrade after certain amount of plays. Then it will be gone forever. You can support this initiative and help raising awareness of the Sumatran Tiger’s situation by reproducing your own copy of the song. Play “Endangered Song” and watch the video below to see how to do your own copy of it. Share the song and the share message. Your help is much appreciated.
