Mumdance featuring Novelist - Take Time

Grime is currently experiencing a creative renaissance, with visionaries like Elijah & Skilliam spearheading a movement that’s based on progressive and energized new talents who are choosing to push the genre by any means necessary. Mumdance is one of those aiding the ranks of Grime’s new school, and on June 16 will be releasing his new EP Take Time. The first leak from the EP is its title track “Take Time,” which features up-and-coming emcee Novelist.

On “Take Time,” Mumdance refuses to let his sound adhere to any particular preset for production, and the track is aggressively physical and hosts a restless beat barrage that makes the track feel like aural whiplash. Novelist’s unpredictable, swift-moving bars add to the unrestrained animal nature of “Take Time,” and if the whole EP falls into this same category we should all have some great music to receive speeding tickets to.
