Germany’s A Kind of Guise heads over the Alps, departing its Munich home for Northern Italy as it presents its Spring/Summer 2014 “Strada Per Limone” lookbook. Inspired by the soothing, fruitful Italian summers, the new collection is dominated by casual silhouettes while luxurious fabrics – soft, airy linens and water-repellant nylons, as well as denim and cotton sourced from Italy, Germany and Japan – lend the pieces an upscale feel. Lightweight jackets, knitwear, button-downs, slacks and shorts are all present here, joined by classy Italian suiting in both tailored and more voluminous cuts. Coupled with the cut-and-sew is a range of accessories that features bow ties – a nice compliment to the range’s more formal looks – alongside caps, summer scarves, totes, a backpack, and a leather weekender. Appearing in sun-faded hues of green, yellow, salmon and off-white, as well as deeper shades of blue, grey and bordeaux, the first drop from A Kind of Guise’s handcrafted “Strada Per Limone” release is now available via the brand’s online store.
