Its been a while since we last heard any new music from the Portland-based duo Shadows on Stars, but today they’ve unveiled a brand new track, as they take on Aaliyah‘s classic jam, “Are You That Somebody.” Stripping down the original dance groove, the new offering comes as a slow-burning track equipped with searing synths and echoing vocals. While most would view the original song as untouchable, the uniqueness of this cover is one to fit into the exception category. We’ll have to wait and see if this means more music from the talented group, but until then enjoy the music up above.
