Missy Elliot Discusses Her Comeback: "It's Coming, I Just Aint Telling Nobody When"

Standing out as one of the most prominent female hip-hop artists of the 1990’s and early 2000’s, a comeback from Missy Elliot is undoubtedly a highly anticipated concept for both old fans and new, and now the songstress has confirmed that a comeback is definitely in the works – it’s just going to take some time. Discussing her musical hiatus with Yahoo!’s The Yo Show, Missy explains that she doesn’t want to throw out “microwave records,” and is working on giving fans “100 percent.” Although she has released Timbaland-produced singles, “9th Inning” and “Tripple Threat,” in 2012, it’s been nine years since Missy released her Respect M.E compilation album in 2006, and despite the long wait her newest project Block Party still doesn’t have a release date locked down.
