Closing out their Beatles week celebration, the Late Show with David Letterman invited Lauryn Hill to her first television performance in three years by performing a cover of the Beatles 1969-hit single “Something.” The Beatles week celebration celebrates the 50-year anniversary of the legendary band’s U.S. TV debut on The Ed Sullivan Show — the same studio where Letterman currently tapes — and featured appearances from Broken Bells, Sting, Flaming Lips, and Lenny Kravitz the previous four days. All five performances lead to a two-hour special, The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles, which airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
