CdG’s diffusion line COMME des GARCONS HOMME offers up a preview to its 2014 fall/winter range. Using a mix of fabrics such as corduroy, cotton, herringbone and tweed, formalwear such as the blazer and shirt are overhauled with plaid and gingham patterns, while the line’s classic motifs are furthered by tartan prints on cardigans. Humble hues of beige, brown, navy, and red offer more restrained riffs throughout and are paired with rolled-up denim jeans, oxford shoes and flat top bowler hats, which reinforce the collection’s ’40s and ’50s menswear styling. Look out for the 2014 fall/winter range to drop later this year at select stockists.
