The adidas Superstar is the Latest Iconic Sneaker to Get Transformed Into a Wedge

The infamous Superstar from adidas is the latest in a long line of sneakers that is now available as a wedge platform. Originally designed to dominate on the court, the iconic 70’s shell-toe sneaker has since become increasingly prolific in the realms of streetwear and music. Shedding some light on a true classic, adidas‘ latest iteration of the Superstar features a full-grain leather upper, gold branding on the tongue and left-hand heel with a hidden wedge. Having done well to not alter the image of their ‘golden-goose,’ adidas has made this modification ever so subtle that from a distance it may even be perceived as a simple high-top. The shoe is now available in two colorways and can be purchased at select adidas Originals retailers globally.
