Meet Paul Lefuevre, sound designer for Paris’ Centre Georges Pompidou by day. Behind his production workstation, however, is when S A Y C E T – the moniker he goes by – can truly unleash his musical potential. Despite having few releases, his ability to weave sonic elements into beautiful auditory illustrations set him apart from other artists, which has attracted attention from a growing fan base around the world. We are excited to premiere to you this brand new mixtape from Lefuevre. Throughout the work, you will be able to draw out on his influences – post-rock and contemplative pop acts like Mogwai, Sigur Ros and Brian Eno – and how he masterfully crafts them unto his own unique perspective. In addition to the aforementioned artists, Lefuevre draws sources of inspiration from his travels around the world, especially having toured Europe and Asia extensively. His strong eye for design, architecture and aesthetics benefits his ability to transcribe such elements in music. Tune in to the mixtape above and tell us what you think.
