Boiler Room was started by a group of close friends infatuated with London’s vibrant music scene.
Boiler Room was started by a group of close friends infatuated with London’s vibrant music scene. Since its inception in March 2010, the music platform and its user base have both expanded exponentially. Now hosting shows from over 50 cities with offices in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin, Boiler Room is one of the most significant broadcasters and curators for underground music. Meet Thristian bPM, one of the three original architects of the platform and the latest to be featured on our Music Essentials series this week. Thris has always had a finely tuned ear for music selection; as a DJ he continually desires to explore new music to broaden his horizon. In the depicted, you can see that he is ready to capture both visual and audio inspirations when on the go with his GoPro camera and Zoom H4 audio recorder. As a DJ, it is always handy to carry around some headphones, a microphone, a laptop and some USB sticks to ensure a smooth, malfunction-prone set. Check out the visual breakdown above and let us know what you think.
