Known most recently for his mind-boggling 2011 film Tree of Life which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes alongside multiple Oscar nominations, director Terrence Malick is back with a trailer for his next release, which similarly offers little on what the plot may be. Titled Knight of Cups, we follow Rick, played by Christian Bale, as he navigates the excesses and temptations of Hollywood celebrity life, with a healthy side serving of sex and soul-searching. Also starring Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto and Imogen Poots, the film will debut internationally at the Berlin Film Festival next February.
