As 2014 comes to a close, casual listeners and critics alike will probably be revisiting Jhene Aiko‘s debut studio album, Souled Out. Now, in what will probably be her final visual release of the year, Jhene Aiko has unveiled a video for one of the album’s most striking and emotionally-arresting offerings, “Wading.” The video’s narrative deals with the happenings at some shady, seedy underground club, but chances are you won’t exactly be paying attention to the video’s story. Jhene Aiko might as well just release a video of her dancing for the entirety of the track, as that’s pretty much the main reason you’ll be hitting the “Play” button more than once. I mean, it’s not like you watched that new Nicki Minaj video to see what Lil Wayne and Drake look like when they’re rapping lyrics in a music video setting, right?
