Many of us find it daunting to teach ourselves something, whether it’s a language, a skill or otherwise. However, when it comes to Singapore-born Ivan Hoo, he managed to teach himself how to draw. Now this wouldn’t be impressive until you see what this 31 year-old artistic savant is capable of producing. It takes him 3 days to complete a drawing shrouded in the realm of hyperrealism taking on subjects like a pug, discarded Starbucks cups, or a jar of opened Nutella. The artist notes that pastels are his favorite medium and the end result is something ridiculously life-like. Enjoy the images and you can see more of his work by following his Instagram account here.
