Grimes Explains Real Origin of her Name

Ever wonder how Grimes came up with her very peculiar name? While she had originally linked it to The Simpsons‘s character Frank Grimes and artist Ken Grimes, she took to Twitter yesterday to speak on Myspace being the real reason behind her name — something she was too embarrassed to admit previously. The Vancouverite explains, “On Myspace your genre could be grime and you could have 3 genres so I was plural grime, before knowing what grime was. I was very pleased to discover that I actually loved grime music.” Read the series of tweets below:
