Los Angeles-based German artist Friedrich Kunath debuts a solo exhibition titled “Earth to Fuckface” at White Cube Gallery in Hong Kong. Known for his fragmented kaleidoscope imagery with the use of various collage-like visuals, Kunath aims to project a moody, fictional meta-reality that reflects the inner sense of isolation. A number of cartoon characters, comic figures and ’50s illustrations co-inhabit the space on Kunath’s works, including Sure Not Over You (2014), which shows a crying Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and Times is Weird (2014) which features Jiminy Cricket and a play on the Aristocats. Check out Friedrich Kunath’s exhibition now at White Cube Gallery in Hong Kong until January 31.
