Commodo featuring JME - Shift

Courtesy of THUMP, here’s a new piece of bass-heavy grime from Deep Medi producer Commodo. “Shift” features bars from London grime MC JME, who lays waste to Commodo’s hard-as-concrete, menacing beat. Though the style of production showcased on “Shift” deviates from Commodo’s usual sound, Commodo tells THUMP that Grime instrumentals were the first things he made. But, it hasn’t been the “appropriate time to reach out and try a vocal track” until now. The bass music maven also stated that “JME felt perfect” for the sound he wanted, and that he believes he’s “one of the few guys who’s managed to remain relevant throughout his 10+ year career.” “Shift” can be streamed above, while the single can be pre-ordered via iTunes.
