As a part of its continued efforts to connect with influential creators in the region, New Balance recently teamed up with Hong Kong-based artist Charles Munka for its “Find Your Playground” campaign. Here, photographer Laurent Segretier follows Munka from the back alleys of Mongkok to his studio in Sham Shui Po as he displays his distinct artistic style — one that involves revealing the true face of the Asian metropolis through everything from straight lines and illegible numbers and symbols to hatch marks, collaged photographs and more across the city.
Look for Munka to open his latest show at Hong Kong’s Above Second Gallery on December 10.
