For today’s edition of Essentials, we have an installment featuring 21-year-old Irish rapper Rejjie Snow. For his take on Essentials, Snow chose to keep his list long and varied. He carries along a fanny pack he picked up in Queensland, Australia, a pair of Nike Air Max 97’s as his “go-to shoe of choice for everyday wear,” a “wave brush” to keep his “waves on point,” a The North Face cap, a Barcelona T-shirt, nail clippers, Teva sandals, and Ralph Lauren Polo sunglasses as his apparel and gear must-haves. His well-being and hygiene is prioritized pretty highly, too. He keeps some Dr. Organic Moroccan Argan Oil for his skin, Hayfever tablets to ward off allergies, and ChapStick on him wherever he goes. A sketchbook for his “every day drawing” is always kept on his person, and because he “likes to read,” a copy of Under the Frog by T. Bor Fischer. A couple cameras are always kept as well. Snow keeps a Fujifilm Natura Classica and a disposable camera on him, along with some Kodak 400TX film. Rounding out his list of belongings, Snow has a Uni Posca pen, an Irish passport, a Krink pen, a bottom gold grill, and of course, a My Mind’s vinyl. He says it’s a “random find” and he “finds it cool because the artwork is cool,” but what young, hungry artist wouldn’t want a riot-starting piece of powerviolence music to fuel their fire?
