Do Ho Suh's Fabric Apartments @ The Contemporary Austin's Jones Center
New to The Contemporary Austin’s Jones Center is the latest installment of Korean artist Do Ho

New to The Contemporary Austin‘s Jones Center is the latest installment of Korean artist Do Ho Suh’s New York City-inspired fabric apartments. Rendered in polyester with stainless steel frames, the works — both old and new — explore themes of identity, public versus private space, memory, and displacement as Suh recreates the likes of the former studio apartment he occupied in the Big Apple. Complementing The Jones Center’s display is a refabrication of Suh’s Net-Work on a floating barge at Laguna Gloria’s Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park. Suh’s installation will remain open to the public in Austin through January 11, 2015.
