First introduced back in June, Apple‘s OS X Yosemite is now available to download for Mac users. Updated with a fresh, modern look and a bevy of “Continuity” features that make it easy to hand off activities between Mac and iOS devices and even make and receive iPhone calls from your Mac, the latest Mac operating system includes everything from cosmetic updates like streamlined toolbars, translucent elements, updated app icons, and a new system font — for improved readability — innovative new features like Handoff, Instant Hotspot, expanded AirDrop, a new Notification Center, new Spotlight, iCloud Drive, and much more.
For an in-depth look at Yosemite, head to Apple’s website while the operating system will be available to download later today, free of charge as an upgrade for Mavericks users, via the Mac App Store.
