A$AP Ant and Tootie Ro have produced a mixtape full of anthems to down opiates and turn up to entitled Percs & Lean. For those curious about the sound before downloading, A$AP Ant’s line about being on “three different types of drugs” and the titles listed in the tracklist should sum it up for you. This whole project seems to be geared toward everyone in need of drug-friendly street rap and/or searching for music to listen to while they do donuts and burn out in empty parking lots in the middle of the night. There are some more reflective moments on the project, such as “Fun & Games,” but for the most part this is unadulterated, unrepentant street music.Knowledge-filled sermons conducted by Rakim and KRS-One, this is not.
