Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Rare Monk have a sonic resilience that combines their appreciation of both 90s and contemporary indie rock while also taking modern-day pop elements into account. This pretty much describes the recipe for their limited edition 7” release via B3SCI Records which features the band’s latest songs “Splice” and “Sleep/Attack,” which were recorded and produced late Summer 2013 in Los Angeles at Wax LTD Studios by Wally Gagel who previously worked with Best Coast, Muse, Family Of The Year and Folk Implosion.
