Prada 2013 Fall/Winter Levitate Footwear Collection

Prada made waves when it first debuted its Levitate footwear collection for the Fall/Winter 2012 season. Coming hot on the heels of another sports-inspired luxury footwear line, Cole Haan’s LunarGrand footwear collection, the Levitate collection featured full-length air bags in-place of traditional leather soles for a look that was equal parts sporty and classic. For the Fall/Winter 2013 season, Prada has worked up several new silhouettes, including the trio pictured above. Consisting of a high-top boot, a wingtip brogue, and a derby, the collection pairs slick black leather uppers with transparent airbags. Rubber outsoles hearken back to the athletic inspirations underpinning the collection, while luxurious details like premium leather uppers and soft leather linings put these squarely in the realm of luxury footwear.
