Noisey Presents 'Welcome to Chiraq' Documentary Part 1

Vice‘s Noisey has released the first of its eight part series titled Welcome to Chiraq, a documentary exploring the city with the highest murder rate in America. In this episode, Noisey visits Englewood, Chicago, a gang neighborhood home to Chief Keef and his contemporaries in the city’s drill scene. While Keef doesn’t make an appearance due to his legal problems, 3Hunna members Lil Durk, Lil Reese and Young Chop share their thoughts on the relationship between gangs and the unique strand of hip-hop that stems from the Windy City. We also learn about how social media is a prominent tool in showcasing new talent, while also acting as a vehicle to facilitate gang violence.
