Growing up in both Japan and the U.S., Matzu’s aesthetics are endearing to both cultures, merging the juxtaposition with acute color palettes and lively illustrations. The Brooklyn-based artist’s latest venture sees “Palimpsest” a new exhibition at Reischauer Institute, Harvard University. Celebrating the gallery’s 40th anniversary, the stunning showcase features classic and fresh paintings for those in the Boston area.
