AETHERstream Seattle Pop-Up Shop

Back in 2011, AETHER tapped Paris-based designer Thierry Gaugain to help the Los Angeles label create the AETHERstream: the ultimate mobile retail space and one allowing the brand to bring its wears directly to the customer. Repurposing a classic Airstream PanAmerica, the team gutted the 34’ trailer before installing 11” reclaimed oak flooring from Carlisle Wide Plank Floors, a custom-made sofa and accompanying table crafted out of sustainably-harvested wood from Environment Furniture, and a bevy of decorations personally selected by Gaugain from the Paris Flea Market. Following stops in Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Boston, Austin and Dallas, the AETHERstream – housing a variety of key pieces from AETHER’s fall/winter and spring/summer collections – landed in Seattle on September 6 and will remain open for business through September 25.
