Nike gears up to release the 11th iteration of the LeBron signature franchise and this time it has taken a bold new direction that separates it from its predecessors. For starters, the new LeBron 11 seen here in black, silver and University Red shrouds its previously visible cushioning unit in an Armorposite crystalline shell, giving the new shoes a distinctly more angular silhouette. The design is further emphasized with the silver Swoosh now running backwards up the side of the black upper. The finely textured Swoosh in turn is paired with the LeBron crown logo on the tongue, reinforcing the visual bond between the two brands.
Designer Jason Petrie clearly rose to the challenge of revamping the LeBron and it remains to be seen what new colorways could be carried by the silhouette. Stay tuned for release details as they’re made available and till then, let us know what you think of the new look in the comments section.
