Long the staple silhouette of the Belgian-founded/Parisian-based atelier’s footwear line-up, Maison Martin Margiela‘s beloved low-top Replica sneaker – itself a luxurious reproduction of a 1970s Austrian army trainer – gets a high-top makeover for Fall/Winter 2013 with the introduction of the label’s High-Top Velcro Sneaker. Crafted in Italy atop a classic gum rubber outsole, the design boasts an upper of black nylon and dark grey suede panelling as a trio of leather Velcro closures replace the prototypical lacing. Black leather further appears along the padded collar and reinforced “eyestay” as contrasting white leather lines the interior. Complete with signature MMM touches like the label’s unique numbered branding patch and single white heel stitch, this seasonal high-top is now available via Très Bien for $600 USD.
