The Madden NFL video game franchise will celebrate its 25th anniversary when it releases Madden 25 on August 27 on the PS3 and Xbox 360. While these versions will use the Infinity 2 engine, the PS4 and Xbox One ports to be released in November will be the first to run EA Sports’ new Ignite engine. This added processing power allows the game to better handle some of the game’s new features which include a playing field that wears down in high-activity areas as well as player tracking that predicts their collision paths for more realistic hits. Other gameplay features include the return of the ability to revive historic teams like the London Monarchs and relocate teams to new cities in the Connected Franchise mode, which featured in past versions of Madden.
